What’s the scoop on the new sneakers from Empire Sports?
New York Giants linebacker Dont’a Hightower is sporting a pair of new Nike Zoom Boost sneakers that have a “Duck” nameplate on the tongue, with the word “Frozen” emblazoned on the back.
It’s not the first time the team has done this.
The new shoes have been designed by Empire, a company that’s been associated with the NBA and the NFL for years.
But this is the first of several sneaker lines that the Giants will unveil in 2018.
Empire also recently released a pair that feature the team’s new logo, “Iceberg,” on the heel.
Hightowers new shoe also features a branding “Frosted” design.
Here’s a closer look at the new Nike Boost Zoom Boosts:The new Nike Air Jordan 1 is the most expensive sneaker to be launched for the franchise, at $220,000.
It also joins the team in the $400,000 range.
Nike is also unveiling a $150 pair of sneakers, the first to feature a black and gold color scheme.
“The new Zoom Boost 2s will be available in a new black colorway and a black color-matched sole,” the company said in a press release.
Hightower, the most decorated player in Giants history, has been a key player for the team since he joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2009.
He made his NFL debut in 2012, and was a key part of the team for the next three seasons.
