Three pairs of jockey shoes are among the items stolen from the FourFourtwo store
A three-piece set of jock shoes was among the stolen items from the store, according to police in Melbourne’s west.
A store worker found the shoes in the foyer of the Four Four Two store on August 25.
“The shoes were there but I don’t think they were there when they were stolen,” Senior Constable Mark Dyer said.
“They were a nice set of shoes.”
I think the only reason they were taken is because someone was going to steal them and they were in the store at the time.
“He said police would be investigating the thefts.”
It’s a very serious offence, if it was someone stealing those shoes they would be charged,” he said.
Police said the pair of jocks were made by Jockey Sports, which makes the jockey boots.”
We have been in contact with Jockey and they have agreed to meet with us to resolve the issue,” a spokesperson for Jockey said.
The spokesman said the retailer had offered a full refund to customers who had purchased the pair.”
Jockey has already taken immediate steps to address this matter and to ensure the safety of our customers,” the spokesperson said.
