Nike announces it is selling more than 1.8 million pairs of oxford sports shoes in China

Sportswear giant Nike has announced it is planning to sell more than 2.5 million pairs in China.
Nike has previously said it was planning to cut its UK sales by more than 30% in 2018.
Its latest news comes as it announced its new products in China, with the shoes it will sell in the country, which is still largely owned by China’s government, being made from materials produced in China and the United States.
“The first phase of the new China sales are planned to be completed in 2018,” the company said in a statement.
The shoes will be produced in the US and China and will be sold on Nike’s online platform Nike+ in the future.
In addition to the shoes, Nike has also announced that it is launching a new line of sports shoes with a theme of “family”.
“Nike+ will be the place to shop for your favorite Nike shoes, sneakers, and apparel,” the statement read.
While the shoes are only being made in China for now, Nike+ plans to open stores in cities across the country as part of its plan to expand the reach of its products in the region.
