Test Hoodie 01
I started this hoodie in November, 2018 and finished January, 2019.
Stitch Count: 369,000+
Hours: Cumulatively 19+
This is a test piece; graphics were embroidered as tests for other projects Mistakes are expected and somewhat intentional with the creation of this piece Provided are annotations regarding different aspects of embroidery and digitization (Back)
Box Logos (Descending): The letters and outline are called satin stitches. Satin stitches “pull” the fabric as they’re stitched, which reduces the width of the satin stitches relative to how they would appear in digitizing software. There are gaps in first bogo’s letters; p, r, and m, as well as in the outline stitch. Letters are widened in second logo, and stitch density (stitches per area) is increased in third bog.
Real: Motif-Fill test. Motifs are basically fancy patterns spread across a shape’s area.
Circassian Flag (Left): Some stars are satin stitches, others are fill stitches. Fill-Stitch stars are taller because thread pushes the fabric perpendicular to stitch direction.
Honda (Above): This logo was stitched using a 14 X 6 inch hoop, Honda on front of hoodie used 7 X 5 hoop. 14 X 6 hoop allowed fabric to stretch more, thus increasing gaps. Always use smallest hoop possible for best results.
Mind Tricks The Body (Right): Bassnectar (Hood)
Asana: Colored gradient-fill test in circles.
No Cap: No lie, no cap
Sentiments: What do you value?
Get over it
